I'm dying for warm weather to get here and stay. In New York we've been flirting with spring, but there's enough of a sharp chill in the breeze to remind you that it's not quite here yet. Plus the radio said this morning that we may have snow showers this Sunday... ugh.
So I thought today would be a good day to share these very springy projects I made for my little friend Noa when she was about three years old. Just looking at that lush green grass I shot them on, I can practically feel the fresh, warm air. Sigh.
Unfortunately I don't remember all the details about how I knit this little sweater. I believe the yarn was Frog Tree, and the pattern was from Rowan, but I modified it a lot. It originally had intarsia flowers, which I skipped, and did this stripe pattern instead. I winged the stripes randomly as I knit.
Similarly, I don't know where the dress pattern was from. (See why it's so great to have a blog? I will never forget these details on the current projects I make and post about!)
I do remember very vividly, however, where the fabric came from. It's from these Ikea curtains that I bought. The curtains were huge, so there was a ton of fabric. I used it for a lot of projects, including blinds for my old apartment:
I hope reminiscing about these blinds gives me some window treatment mojo... I'm planning to spend the weekend sewing curtains. Wish me luck, I just want to get them done already!
