I have this big ugly cluttered spot on top of a vintage medical cabinet in my kitchen, and just the other day I was thinking that it would be the perfect place for a retro canister set. I LOVE these, which a design*sponge reader customized by painting a plain metal set. There's even a step-by-step on how to paint your own. I want them!

These would look great in my kitchen too!
Love them! I have some old containters for the bathroom for cotton, alchohol and powder. They were my grandmothers and I have no idea how old they are, but they are OLD. I love retro stuff, especailly if it's the real deal.
