I've got two new free sewing patterns up over at
Design Sponge - they're both easy patchwork and quilting how-to's, so if you've been wanting to learn to get your quilt on, these are for you!

First up is a
color-spectrum pet bed. I've been really into rainbow-anything lately, so I thought I'd play around with a rainbow patchwork for this project.

...and then, of course, this happened. (Seriously, am I a crazy cat lady now? I think I might be. Help.)

How could I not be though, with this little furball to obsess over? I mean, she can even fake-sleep for photos. She's magic.

And now, stepping away from the cat, I've also got a post on making a
simple, modern log cabin pillow. I like this project because it's totally free form and deliberately wonky - so if you think quilting has to be all about perfection and precision, this will show you another side of things.

Love the log cabin pillow! Very cool.
ug! the cuteness factor of your kitty is off the charts! fantastic use of color for the pillow!
Yeah. I love how you weathered the color of the pillow. Very nicely done! Two thumbs up!
I was too distracted by the wavy rippled blanket to pay attention to the pillows. The kitty, however, is gorgeous! This post makes me want to drive back home through all the snow/sleet/slush to crochet and hibernate!
