I currently have 30 pounds (yes, thirty! pounds!) of yarn sitting on my work table, ready to go for my next project!
I can't wait to tell you more about it, very soon. But for now I will tell you that these cones of yarn are straight from a sweater factory, where they are usually used to machine-knit sweaters. However, the yarn is being made available FREE for knitters and crocheters to hand-stitch for an upcoming charity program this fall.
How cool is that?! I can't wait to play with it. I know what I'll be doing this weekend.

*SWEET*!! But what's the fiber content composed of? I'd kill for 100% cotton! ;-D
Hmmm...wonder what you are going to do:)
I think I know !!!!! GREAT, can't wait:-)
Love the colors of all of these cones!
Hi Brett,
I have a knitting machine of my own and am always on the look out for coned yarn that would be compatible with my machine. Can you tell me if this sweater factory has yarn available for the general public to buy?
If so, how can I contact them? Thanks!
Rebekah
Rebekah - unfortunately, this company doesn't sell their yarn to consumers. I'm afraid I don't know much about buying machine-knitting yarn, but the last time I was at School Products Yarn they did have a lot of stock in cones - you could try there. http://www.schoolproductsyarns.com/
good luck!
Brett
