The other day the universe dropped a little treat on my desk - a copy of Vickie Howell's new book, Knit Aid.

This is one that's going straight to the craft room - the next time I'm following a pattern and I need a refresher on how to do the cable cast-on or the kitchener stitch, I won't have to go dig out my heavy reference book - I'll reach for this petite little thing. Seriously, I don't know how she fit so much info in such a small package - just about everything you need to know about knitting is in here.
