horse by number

I finally finished my horse paint-by-number I've been working on.

...and I think she's a real beauty, if I do say so myself!

I found this project to be one of the most satisfying and enjoyable crafts I've made in a long time, believe it or not. Very meditative to fill in all those teeeny tiny spaces. It has something to do with the complete removal of all thought and creativity, seems to be a good antidote to real life for me.

Now, where to find more good paint-by-number kits? There sure isn't much out there on the market. Any tips? I'd really love a great collie to work on next, or another horse...

it looks great! I also love the pic up at the top with the progression through the paint by numbers... before I figured out it was an awesome paint by numbers, I thought it was some awesome photography trick. cute!

I'd try looking for vintage paint by numbers that aren't painted yet... if those even exist. :)

i once saw a site or company that would convert your own photo into a paint-by-number kit, complete with numbers and paints! it's been a while, but i'll see if i can find it. i always meant to try it!

Brett, have you ever tried stained glass? I would say it's a bit like painting by numbers, only you get to choose the colors. And the numbers, too!

i did this one myself. i loved it aswell. i acutlly found there to be alot of nice horse paint by numbers online and in stores. i know for a fact if you type in "horse paint by number" in google.com, you'll find tons of them. but i happen to find all 5 of mine that i finished at the craft store Micheals. they have some beautiful paint by numbers. my favorite one ive ever done is a 20" x 16" 51 x 41cm painting. the people who made it's website is dimensions-crafts.com. hope it helps ya
